As a gutter subcontractor for DFW builders, DTX Seamless installs new construction gutters across Dallas–Fort Worth. We work for production, custom and luxury home builders and general contractors. We form 5-inch and 6-inch seamless K-style aluminum on site with our own machine. We price each plan up front and show up when the schedule says.
Who we build for
- Production builders who need the same plan priced the same way on every lot, and installs that keep pace with the community.
- Custom builders with one-off plans, complex roof lines and color selections that change late.
- Luxury builders who want 6-inch gutters, 3×4 downspouts, micro-mesh guards and clean details at every corner.
- General contractors handling single homes, townhome rows or a mix of residential and light commercial.
Installing at the right phase
Gutter timing matters on a new home. Too early, and the gutters get scratched, splattered or knocked loose by other trades. Too late, and roof water carves ruts into the final grade.
We install after the roof is complete and exterior paint is done. We aim to finish before final grade and landscape. That lets us set downspout outlets to match the drainage plan. It also lets the landscaper connect drains or set splash blocks once, not twice.
If the schedule forces gutters ahead of paint, tell us. We’ll plan the color and the touch-up together so nothing gets missed.
Plan and elevation takeoffs
Send the plan set with roof plans and elevations. We’ll measure every eave and return a takeoff by plan and elevation.
- Linear feet of 5-inch or 6-inch K-style gutter.
- Downspout count, size and approximate locations.
- Corners, miters and end caps.
- Notes on valleys, upper roofs draining onto lower roofs, and porch or patio covers.
On production plans, we price each elevation once. Your purchasing team gets one number per plan and elevation, plus per-foot rates for options and changes.
Consistent pricing and quick turnaround
Builders need to know what a gutter package costs before the slab is poured. Our per-plan pricing holds for the agreed term. A plan swap or a structural option changes the number in a predictable way.
We turn takeoffs around quickly once we have complete plans. On the install side, a typical new home takes about a day once the house is ready.

Our own machine and truck, so no waiting on materials
We own a seamless gutter machine and a 26-foot box truck. We form 5-inch and 6-inch K-style aluminum on site from coil, cut to the exact length of each run. There are no seams in the middle of a wall, and we don’t wait on a supplier to cut stock lengths.
That also makes late color changes easier. Gutter coil comes in standard colors that cover most builder palettes. If a buyer picks a new color, tell us before the install date and we’ll plan for it.
Downspouts, guards and drainage at handover
New-home buyers notice water at the slab long before they notice gutter size. On Blackland Prairie clay, that water also feeds foundation movement. So we set every downspout to the drainage plan.
- Downspouts. 2×3 on smaller roofs, 3×4 under valleys and on large two-story elevations. See downspouts and drainage.
- Extensions and splash blocks. Fastened in place so water lands away from the foundation, or left ready for the landscaper’s drain connection.
- Gutter guards. Micro-mesh on lots with mature trees. See gutter guards.
- Seamless runs. Every eave formed to length on site. See seamless gutters.
For multifamily and light commercial projects, see our commercial seamless gutters page.
Punch-list response
Every new home ends with a punch list. Gutter items tend to be small: a missing end cap, a downspout to swing, a dent from another trade, a spot of touch-up. We treat them as part of the job.
When your superintendent sends a punch item, we schedule it promptly and close it with a photo. That keeps your closing dates on track.

Frequently asked questions
When should gutters go on in new construction?
After the roof is on and exterior paint is done, and before final grade and landscaping. That way the gutters aren't scratched by painters, and downspout outlets can be set to the finished drainage plan.
Can you price our plans before we start a community?
Yes. Send the plan set with elevations. We'll do a takeoff and return a price per plan and elevation, plus per-foot rates for options and changes.
What do you need to set us up as a vendor?
Usually your vendor packet. We provide a W-9, return the documents your packet asks for, and follow your scheduling and billing process.
